Hear about Jo-Anne's key priorities on 630 CHED's Two Minutes to Win It.
Jo-Anne is proud to say that she is a born and raised Edmontonian! She has lived her whole life - and mostly worked - in the southeast end of the city. For more than 25 years, Jo-Anne and her husband have enjoyed raising their three children in the Meadows community.
Jo-Anne was involved with her children’s school and sporting activities – participating in parent advisory councils and coaching and managing community sports teams. While her children attended St. Kateri School, she advocated for the construction of a new Junior High School rather than having her children be bused further out of the community. Her experience includes volunteering for charitable organizations such as the Society of Parents & Friends of Michener Center, The Meadows Community League, Canadian Diabetes Association and University Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees.
Jo-Anne’s years of experience in the financial services industry provides a solid foundation to approach those important budget deliberations with City Council. Currently employed with the Legislative Assembly Office, she has developed a keen understanding and appreciation for the structure and inner workings of political organizations. She holds a Bachelor degree in Human Resources & Labour Relations along with a Diploma in Personal Financial Planning.
Jo-Anne is honoured to have been recently endorsed by the Edmonton and District Labour Council (EDLC)
